Behavriorism Video Example..

The video is an example of operant conditioning, specifically positive reinforcement. The baby is being positively reinforced to laugh. The child is presented with a spoon (stimulus) and then the child laughs (response).

  1. I enjoyed this quick video! Like I have stressed in many of my blog posts, operant and classical conditioning are ALL around us. Relating to operant conditioning, do you think that is the best way for a child to learn?

  3. Patrice,

I do believe that operant conditioning is the best way for a child to learn, only if it is through reinforcement, as research has shown that punishments are not as effective.
